A lot of things have happened to our Hollywood celebrities this summer: engagements, pregnancies, weddings, births, and break-ups. Of course it's nice to hear happy news has fallen on our favorite stars, but you can't help but find the split stories to be the juiciest and most interesting of them all. Hands down one of the biggest summer surprises came from Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez, who announced they were parting ways after seven years of marriage. It left fans taken aback and confused by this seemingly sudden separation. When did they start having problems? Who made the decision to end it? And more importantly, what was the cause? If you were hoping for a shocking revelation to go with this interview, you were probably disappointed. Anthony claimed the split was simply because their marriage didn't work anymore. He stated, "It was a realization on both our parts. So you know it wasn't shocking. These things happen. It was a decision that we made jointly." And as for the rumors about whether the marriage ended because of infidelity, the singer replied, "absolutely not," adding that "It wasn't something sensationalistic happening." He also went on to say that he will continue to work on the reality show, called Q'Viva! The Chosen, that co-stars his now estranged wife. While it's sad that things didn't work out, Anthony said he's ready to move on and thinks others should do the same: "This is not a funeral. This is not a burial. This is just two people who came together and just realized – and so I'm saying that it wasn't sustainable the way it was, and that's that."
